Have your little actor join this class to learn the basics of staging small group scenes. Students will learn basic theatre vocabulary and learn how to be in a scene onstage. Building a strong theatre foundation is important, and the more exposure to theatre etiquette your young actor gets, the easier it will be as they continue working on the craft–as a hobby or if they decide to audition for shows in the future.

With a rich tapestry of experiences as a former Pastor and Military Veteran, PT’s comedic genius lies in his ability to connect with a wide range of audiences. Join him on a journey to a Standup Comedy night at the ARTfactory by learning the ropes from a professional comic.
PT’s work has not gone unnoticed, with features on major networks such as NBC, CBS, CW and the History Channel. PT’s talent has also led him to perform on some of the most prestigious and iconic stages in the country, including the historic Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and even the White House.
As the proud owner of Clean Comedy Connection and the charismatic host of the Clean Comedy Matters Podcast, PT has dedicated his career to creating spaces based on the idea that humor does not have to be foul to be funny.
This course culminates in a ticketed Comedy Night, where students will showcase their learning for a Stand Up Comedy event at the ARTfactory on May 24th at 7:30 PM.

Rooftop Productions announces auditions for Meredith Wilson’s Miracle on 34th Street.
A holiday classic from the writer of the musical theatre classic, The Music Man!, and based on the movie of the same name, Miracle on 34th Street features a book and score by none other than Meredith Willson.
Single mother, Doris Walker, doesn’t want her six-year-old Susan’s head filled with romantic notions. Their neighbor, Fred Gailey, tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at Macy’s, where Doris works. Doris is not impressed, but when it turns out that Macy’s Santa may, in fact, be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts.
Filled with humor, spectacle and such beloved songs as “Pinecones and Hollyberries,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and “My State, My Kansas,” this joyous, heartwarming musical is pure family entertainment, wholesome without being cloying. A star-vehicle for a female actress that features great roles for children, the show is a cast- and crowd-pleaser.
