Tech Theatre Series: Set Design

This technical theatre workshop on set design is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of creating effective and engaging set designs for theatrical productions. The workshop begins with an introduction to the basics of set design, including the elements of design, the importance of scale, and how to create a cohesive design that works with the story and characters. Participants will then learn how to create a set design plan, including sketching, creating a model, and working with a budget. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their set design skills by creating a model of their own set design.        (Ages 13-18)

Note:  Following the current CDC recommendation, students and instructors should wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.  Class size will be limited for social distancing.  We continue to show vigilance in cleaning and sanitizing our facilities.

Class Duration: One Week, Monday through Friday.  The first day of class is Monday, June 26  and runs through Friday, June 30 from 3-5:30 p.m..
