Musicals not your thing? Want to perfect your skills without having to worry about singing and dancing? Join us for this theatre production intensive where students are challenged to create and sustain a role without the pressure of auditioning.
Based on the well-loved book by Barbara Robinson, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a hilarious play that tells the story of the Herdmans, the worst kids in town, who decide to audition for the Christmas pageant. As they volunteer for the major roles, decide that Herod is the hero, and turn the classroom upside down, the new director is sure the pageant is ruined. Everything goes horribly wrong, yet when the dust settles everyone agrees it was the best Christmas pageant EVER. (Ages 7 – 18)
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

How To Train Your Reindeer (To Fly)
From Plank Road Publishing
by Teresa Jennings and Karl Hitzemann
An Improbable Inspiring Musical For Young Voices
All young magic reindeer need a good, well-rounded education. Fortunately, they are able to get one from the School of Reindeer at (where else?) the North Pole. They can study all of the important subjects like math, science, reading, music, and so on. But they also have to have specialized training in necessary skills like leaping, reindeer games, and of course, flying.
Now you would think that flying comes easily to these youngsters, and the truth is, all magic reindeer do have the ability to fly. However, it doesn’t just happen. It has to be learned, or at the very least, chosen, as the young reindeer in our story discover for themselves.
Frustrated by their inability to simply take off, they wonder why they can’t just get up and go. As the tale unfolds, it is revealed that it is the kindness in a reindeer’s heart that renders flight possible. An inspiring message for us all, to be sure. (Ages 5 – 8)
Class begins on Tuesday, November 7 from 5:15 – 6:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays with no class on Thursday, November 23rd. The performance will be held on the final night of class, Thursday, December 7

Join Pied Piper Theatre as we mount our first original production, Where’s Wyatt.
In a world of conformity that consists of black and white; Wyatt is a gifted artist with the power of color! Through this devised piece, Wyatt will fight battles, navigate treacherous obstacles and restore balance to the world of Color! Under the direction of Alex Mills and Ashton Schaffer, students will create characters that inhabit new environments and make connections with the world around them and restore color to their world.
What is a devised piece? A devised theatrical piece is an original work that is created collaboratively between actors, dancers and musical theatre performers. It uniquely blends these art forms to create a dynamic and emotionally engaging performance that captivatingly tells a story. By drawing on the diverse talents and perspectives of its performers, a devised piece offers a fresh and exciting take on familiar themes and issues, exploring them with depth and nuance. Whether it’s through fluid choreography, soaring vocals or heartfelt monologues, a devised theatrical piece for young audiences offers a thought provoking and evocative experience that sparks the imagination and inspires self expression.
Show Dates: Where’s Wyatt will be performed at ARTfactory, Kellar Theatre on April 18, 19 and 20.
Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 – 8:00 pm
Ticketed Performances: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 18, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m.
