With a rich tapestry of experiences as a former Pastor and Military Veteran, PT’s comedic genius lies in his ability to connect with a wide range of audiences. Join him on a journey to a Standup Comedy night at the ARTfactory by learning the ropes from a professional comic.
PT’s work has not gone unnoticed, with features on major networks such as NBC, CBS, CW and the History Channel. “Pathways & Precipices” An Artist’s Return to Awe & Wonder by Robyn Ryan
Artist Demonstration: Saturday, April 20, 2 – 4 pm
Painting with Paper ~ An interactive mixed media demonstration. A majority of the artwork in the Pathways & Precipices exhibit includes collaged papers and mixed media. Join Robyn to see how she creates and uses a palette of colored and textured papers and additional diverse tools to create her original art. Feeling adventurous? Robyn will have supplies on hand for you to create your own bookmark for the ones who want a hands on taste!
“Pathways & Precipices” An Artist’s Return to Awe and Wonder
Robyn Ryan recently completed a month-long Artist Residency at Bandelier National Monument, in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Residency was an amazing opportunity for the artist to focus on both artistic and personal growth, living alone in the canyon and making art in a vastly different location from her normal environment. Robyn initiated over 25 pieces of artwork in New Mexico and nurtured an array of additional ideas to expand into this new body of work titled “Pathways & Precipices”.
In addition to recording her encounters with the diverse landscapes, cultural history, and wildlife of Bandelier National Monument, the artwork in this exhibition was inspired by the adventure and challenges she faced and celebrates the victories of overcoming fears and stepping into new things courageously. The “Pathways & Precipices” artwork highlights Robyn’s personal and artistic journeys moving from simple observation, to exploration and discovery of new environments, to considering the lasting impacts on herself and her artwork. The artwork was created using water-based media (Watercolor, Gouache, Acrylics) and mixed media (Collage and Robyn’s unique “Acrylic Layers” technique).
The exhibit is arranged to guide you through Robyn’s journey to share in the experiences and adventure of discovery and growth through her art. The artist’s intention is for you to leave inspired to explore and seek new vistas yourselves; for you to find and nourish your own adventurer and inner child again; to reclaim your own sense of awe and wonder of the amazing creation we live in.
About the Artist
Nature, wildlife, and exploring their beauty through art is a labor of love for Robyn. A creative “maker” since childhood, she has created commissioned pieces in college and enjoyed working with artists she has admired over the years. Beyond exhibitions and artwork sales, Robyn was blessed to create artistically, give public demonstrations, and teach art, all while working full-time as a civilian for the US Navy. She recently retired after 31+ years of Federal Service and is now able to pursue her artistic endeavors full-time. Robyn enjoys teaching art workshops including watercolor, mixed media, and her own “Acrylic Layers” technique with the focus of clear building blocks, instilling confidence, and having fun!
Robyn is currently active with several local/regional art groups and venues including Libertytown Artists Workshop in Fredericksburg VA, the Loudoun Sketch Club, the North Windsor Artists from King George VA, the Virginia Equine Artist Association, and The Artist’s in Middleburg. Her artwork is in numerous private collections and she exhibits regularly in juried exhibitions and featured solo exhibitions. Robyn’s work is also represented by Jenuinely Jeni Gallery at the esteemed Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.

ARTfactorypresents a SuperCon Super Art Fight.
SUPER ART FIGHT IS THE GREATEST LIVE ART COMPETITION IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE. Created in 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland by artists Jamie Noguchi and Nick DiFabbio, SAF has grown over the past decade into an absolutely can’t miss live event, mixing elements of pro-wrestling styled storytelling and character work, live art, and improvised humor.
To date, Super Art Fight has produced hundreds of live events, including shows across the United States and into Canada; appearances at such big conventions as Otakon, Anime Expo, MAGFest, and Awesome Con; features in the pages of The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and Wired; and regular engagements at such legendary rock-and-roll venues as Baltimore’s Ottobar and Washington DC’s The Black Cat.
Want to see artists collide in one-on-one or tag-team action? Can they stand tall against the ridiculous topics from the crowd-sourced Wheel of Death? Are you ready to cheer your favorites on to victory?

Water, Water Everywhere
“Water, Water Everywhere” is a juried group art exhibition featuring 52 plein air paintings created by 19 local artists from the established Nova Plein Air Artists (NPAA) group. Whether it’s in the air, on the ground, or below the earth’s surface, water surrounds us and sustains all life forms on our planet. The paintings in this exhibit examine the vital essence and life force of water through the artists’ eyes. Although the NPAA members often have group “paint-out” sessions in local Northern Virginia areas, such as the Potomac River and Leopold’s Reserve, a few of the paintings transport the viewer to areas the artists experienced outside of Virginia, such as the Outer Banks, Massachusetts, and Maine.
About Nova Plein Air Artists
Founded in 2016, Nova Plein Air Artists (NPAA) was formed when two artists wished to explore the idea of painting outdoors. Since then, NPAA has evolved into a creative network of local artists committed to painting weekly at organized “paint-outs.” Plein air locations are chosen for their diversity in landscape and local geography, varying from parks to rustic farms, vineyards, and urban settings within the Northern Virginia and Greater Washington, DC area. NPAA’s members, many of whom are also painters of other subjects such as still life, genre, and portraiture, actively participate in plein air competitions and gallery shows throughout the year.

Neil Simon’s hilarious and fast-paced comedy, Rumors! is a witty and wacky play that revolves around the chaotic events that ensue when four couples gather for a dinner party at a New York City townhouse.
Set in the 1980s, Rumors begins with a prestigious couple, Charlie and Myra Brock, hosting a celebration for their wedding anniversary. However, just moments before the guests arrive, they discover that Charlie has been shot, and Myra is missing. As the couples arrive one by one, they are met with a house in disarray, confused servants, and no explanation for what has happened. Panic ensues as they attempt to keep the situation under control, concocting increasingly elaborate lies to shield their friends and themselves from scandal.
As the evening progresses, misunderstandings intensify, miscommunications run amok, and hilarious antics unfold. From mistaken identities to eavesdropping and slapstick comedy, Rumors keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, constantly surprising and delighting with its frenetic pace and clever wordplay.

Come for the music…stay for the laughs! Paragon Philharmonia joins forces with Dark Horse Theatre Company to present a hilarious harmonic whodunit!
It was a dark and stormy night…
Or maybe it was a bright and sunny morning?
Or maybe it was an overcast and slightly breezy afternoon?
YOU decide.
Famed Sicilian Tenor, Antonio Giovanni Prosecco is prepared to make his operatic debut in Manassas, VA when something goes awry. Never one to stay out of the spotlight, when Antonio misses his cue, suspicion immediately falls on several concert attendees who all have their own reasons for wanting to silence the divo. But whodunit??
That’s where you come in. We need your help to shape the story, solve the murder, AND help us choose the music along the way. That’s right – the musicians of Paragon Philharmonia are prepared to perform Ludwig or Lady Gaga, Brahms or the Beatles, or even “Queen of the Night” or “Killer Queen.” It’s up to you – the choices are in your hands!
Join us for a night of mystery, murder, and melodies! Experience a unique blend of string quintet music and improv comedy in this hilarious harmonic whodunit. Shape the story and choose the music as you become an active participant in this thrilling evening of suspense, laughter, and musical enigma. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable night that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Joe Falero
Allow us to introduce you to the extraordinary talent of Joe Falero, a Puerto Rican-born percussionist hailing from the vibrant streets of Washington, D.C. With a passion for music that flows as naturally as the Potomac River, Joe has become a prominent figure in the local music scene, and his star continues to rise. From the heart of the nation’s capital, he has brought to life a remarkable fusion of Hispanic rhythms, jazz, and soulful melodies that captivate audiences far and wide. In this spotlight we celebrate Joe’s musical journey, exploring the influences that shape his sound and the impact of his music on the cultural landscape of the DMV area.

Rooftop Productions announces auditions for Meredith Wilson’s Miracle on 34th Street.
A holiday classic from the writer of the musical theatre classic, The Music Man!, and based on the movie of the same name, Miracle on 34th Street features a book and score by none other than Meredith Willson.
Single mother, Doris Walker, doesn’t want her six-year-old Susan’s head filled with romantic notions. Their neighbor, Fred Gailey, tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at Macy’s, where Doris works. Doris is not impressed, but when it turns out that Macy’s Santa may, in fact, be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts.
Filled with humor, spectacle and such beloved songs as “Pinecones and Hollyberries,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and “My State, My Kansas,” this joyous, heartwarming musical is pure family entertainment, wholesome without being cloying. A star-vehicle for a female actress that features great roles for children, the show is a cast- and crowd-pleaser. Deni Bonet and Chris Flynn
Deni Bonet and Chris Flynn are a New York-based Americana, folk-rock duo whose blend of voices, virtuoso violin, guitar, and humor have entertained and captivated audiences from Carnegie Hall to Mountain Stage to the White House.
“The whole is greater than the sum of the parts”. So it is with Deni Bonet & Chris Flynn. As individual artists, they have more than made their mark in music. As a duo, they have created something extra, engaging and extremely entertaining. Bonet’s voice and violin, and Flynn’s guitar and voice, have echoed through the United Nations and the White House, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Mountain Stage. They have shared stages with REM, Cyndi Lauper, Warren Zevon, Sarah McLachlan, and many others. Their audiences have ranged from festivalgoers, to Presidents and the FBI. They’ve performed their original music as soloists with several full symphony orchestras. For the last five years, they have melded that skill, experience and musicality on stages across Europe and America, from festivals to house concerts, libraries to radio stations. Their lively and humorous shows are full of self-penned songs and instrumentals, and the warm banter of two people completely at one on the stage. The new album, ‘Off The Record’ is due out in 2024.
Audiences will be uplifted and captivated by profound musicianship, energetic performance, hilarious anecdotes and superbly-crafted compositions, bonded by the special chemistry that could only come from two such experienced and respected artists and close friends.

Into the Woods
James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
One of Sondheim’s most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word.
