Event Details

This class builds on the foundational skills of improvisation. Depending on the level and interests of the students, the class may cover topics like advanced short-form game play (rhyming games, guessing games, hosting, and more). Long-form topics for study include the game of the scene, heightening, pulling ideas from openings, open vs premise scenes, and more as time allows. There will be a performance during the last class.

(Ages 18 and up)

The class will be held on Tuesdays beginning January 10 – February 28 from 6:30 – 8 pm with no class on February 14th.

Note:  Following the current CDC recommendation, students and instructors should wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.  Class size will be limited for social distancing.  We continue to show vigilance in cleaning and sanitizing our facilities.

Josh has been improvising since 2004. He’s an alumnus of Amsterdam’s Boom Chicago, where he performed nightly and taught improvisation. He’s also completed the course of study in improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
