Intro to Oil Painting: Floral Portraits with Emily Thomson

This class will explore the fundamental techniques of oil painting.  We will begin by looking at real flowers.  With the instructor’s guidance, students will photograph the flowers in the art studio, and learn to crop the image to capture an interesting composition.  We will print the final reference photo for students.  The fluid shapes and colors found in the flower of their choice will form the basis of a beautiful oil painting.  Oil paints and canvases will be provided via supply fee.  Learn quickly in our summer daily lesson format, starting on a Monday and ending the following Monday.  For ages 15 – Adult.
