Event Details

Join Pied Piper Theatre as we mount our first original production, Where’s Wyatt (ages 8-18).

In a world of conformity that consists of black and white; Wyatt is a gifted artist with the power of color!  Through this devised piece, Wyatt will fight battles, navigate treacherous obstacles and restore balance to the world of Color!  Under the direction of Alex Mills and Ashton Schaffer, students will  create characters that inhabit new environments and make connections with the world around them and restore color to their world.

What is a devised piece?  A devised theatrical piece is an original work that is created collaboratively between actors, dancers and musical theatre performers.  It uniquely blends these art forms to create a dynamic and emotionally engaging performance that captivatingly tells a story.  By drawing on the diverse talents and perspectives of its performers, a devised piece offers a fresh and exciting take on familiar themes and issues, exploring them with depth and nuance.  Whether it’s through fluid choreography, soaring vocals or heartfelt monologues, a devised theatrical piece for young audiences offers a thought provoking and evocative experience that sparks the imagination and inspires self expression.
