Playwriting: TEN Minute Play

Begin (or continue!) your work as a playwright with this class tailored to writing a dynamic 10 minute play.  Strengthen your understanding of play structure and story arc, characterization and dialogue.  Additional topics will include goal setting, formatting and editing, focused discussions, and advanced exercises regarding writing best practices.  Thee sessions will include both in class and out of class writing time.  Instructor and/or peer review will also be utilized.  You may even choose to submit your finished piece to the ARTfactory’s 10 x 10 Playwriting Festival 2023!  Bring your ideas to the first class.  (Ages 15 and up.)

The class will run on Wednesday February 15, (No Class on February 22), March 1, March 8, March 15, and (No Class on March 22) March 29 from 7 – 9 p.m.  

Please bring your own laptop or tablet.

Note:  Following the current CDC recommendation, students and instructors should wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.  Class size will be limited for social distancing.  We continue to show vigilance in cleaning and sanitizing our facilities.
